Creating Keepsake Party Photos

Planning a party to celebrate a birthday or special event? Make it an event to remember with keepsake photos! Here are a few tips to create fun and memorable photo opportunities for any special occasion.

Personalized Banners Try a Backdrop Banner
Select a banner that fits your party theme. There are many to choose from! Backdrop scenes of your favorite cartoon character or movies that capture the theme of the party are always a good idea. Try a personalized banner that can be customized with the guest of honor’s name. “Happy Birthday”
letter banners are a classic way to mark the event too.

Photo Door Banners Say “Cheese” with Photo Door Banners
Photo door banners include face holes so guests can step in and become part of the theme for just a moment or two. Consider the height of your guests when you hang the banner. If you’re inviting small children, be sure the banner is low enough for them so there’s no need for last minute adjustments when you take the photos.

If you don’t have a doorway handy for your photo banner, create a stand for it! Attach the banner to heavy cardboard or plywood. Spray adhesive, glue dots or double-sided tape works well for this.

Princess Party Make Dress up Part of the Fun
If you’re having a super hero party, ask your guests to wear the super hero’s color and hand out masks for the kids to wear. Little girls will feel like royalty wearing a tiara at a princess party. You could also try colorful wigs, inflatable guitars and toy microphones for a rockin’ fun pop star party. Let your theme inspire you!

Create Fun Poses
Once in costume, your guests will look forward to their moment to shine. Make posing for your pictures fun! Put kids on adults’ shoulders, build a human pyramid or use your staircase for a big group shot. Try serious and funny faces, and be sure to get plenty of action shots to capture the fun.

Print and Share
Sending thank you notes with a photo enclosed is an extra special way to provide a memorable keepsake for all of your guests. They’ll enjoy the photo long after the event and look forward to your next party!
