It’s true. Last month I attended no less than 5 weddings. Witnessing so many “I Dos” gave me insight on the “must dos” that every trend-savvy bride is incorporating into her Big Day. So what’s in? Simple strapless dresses; custom candy bar favors; and a black and white color scheme accented by vibrant, less-traditional colors.
The beauty of the black and white color scheme is being able to add any accent color to create a timeless combination. It works year-round and for any theme wedding. And if you can’t pick just one favorite accent color, you can mix and match anywhere from one to three colors with black and white:
Plus, it’s easy to find wedding supplies in black and white! From candles and bubbles to cake toppers and scrapbooking paper or albums, you certainly won’t find yourself searching high and low to find these two colors. Add a few punches of another color and voila, you’ve got a wedding color scheme, girl!
So go ahead - hop on the black and white wedding bandwagon, because you can make it your own by accenting with a uniquely-you color.
Oh, and this helpful tip to anyone attending five weddings in three weeks: Just because there are a lot of celebrations, doesn’t mean you can’t give meaningful gifts. Scrap all the cards you’ll need at the same time. Then you can avoid repeats and you’ll have a special handmade greeting for each happy couple!
Your friend,
