Party Location & Set-up
Choose a space where everyone will be able to move around and mingle comfortably.  A large break room with tables, a refrigerator and sink is convenient when serving food, but any conference room or courtyard large enough to accommodate your group will work.  Bring in some chairs, but set up your party to encourage people to walk around and talk with others or play games.

Party Decorations
To start, unroll the Red and White Checkered Banquet Roll and cut off pieces large enough to cover tables, and if you’re in a smaller room, cut off pieces to cover the walls.  Alternate red and navy bandannas on the table to create place settings, or roll them into napkins and secure each one with a Deputy Sheriff’s Badge.  Hang western hats around the room.  To create a clever centerpiece, turn a Western Hat upside down and line with a red or navy Bandanna.  Then fill with chips and serve!

Party Food
In addition to chips and salsa, serve simple home-style foods like hotdogs, hamburgers, baked beans and chili.  Tie red and navy bandannas around serving bowls to give your table top some added color.  And don’t forget lots of barbecue sauce!  Keep party costs down and get co-workers involved by asking them to sign up ahead of time to bring their favorite Western foods such as appetizers, casseroles or desserts.

Party Games
Horse Shoes – This is a classic Wild West game!  If you don’t have a game set, you can also improvise by throwing western hats onto a peg.

Country Song Game – Have everyone write down something bad that could happen to someone (lost their job, car broke down, etc) then go around the room and have everyone sing their one-liner.  When the last person finishes, you’ve got a country song!  Have a tape recorder on hand to capture the group’s “hit.”

Eye-on-the-Prize Game – Line up 3 western hats on a table, right side up.  Place any small object (a squeezeable stress ball or piece of candy works well) under one of the hats, then mix them up while the contestant is turned around or blindfolded.  If the person correctly guesses which hat the object is under, they win a prize.

Party Favors & Prizes
When guests arrive, greet them with red and navy bandannas and cowboy hats they can wear.  You can deputize each game winner with a deputy sheriff’s badge.
